As a Business Development Rep (BDR) supporting Life Sciences Partnerships, you’ll sit at the heart of PicnicHealth’s go-to-market engine, helping Life Sciences teams connect with the right stakeholders at the right time. You’ll drive early pipeline by planning and executing targeted outbound campaigns across key accounts and campaigns—partnering closely with Solutions, Marketing, and Commercial leadership to research new drug approvals and trials, build high-quality account and contact lists, and deliver compelling outreach that lead to high-quality meetings and commercial opportunities. We’re looking for a proactive, highly organized self-starter who understands the Life Sciences and clinical / non-interventional research landscape, feels comfortable using modern sales and data tools, and is motivated by turning insight into meaningful commercial conversations that ultimately improve patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales or lead generation experience with diverse outreach channels (e.g., email & LinkedIn).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Life Sciences (Non-interventional Research experience preferable)
  • An analytical mindset and proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Hubspot (both preferred)
  • Proficient in market research, including healthcare news, clinical trial updates, and competitor analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships with diverse teams.
  • Focus on and successful experimentation with integrating AI into your standard practices and workflows, and ideas for new applications here at PicnicHealth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new pipeline and early customer engagement by securing high-quality meetings and commercial opportunities with Life Sciences teams through thoughtful, targeted outbound outreach.
  • Identify and engage the right accounts at the right time by researching drug approvals, clinical trial progression, therapeutic areas, and company strategy—and translating those insights into relevant, compelling messaging.
  • Own the end-to-end execution of outbound campaigns, from account planning and contact strategy through email and LinkedIn outreach, follow-ups, objection handling, and securing initial meetings.
  • Partner closely with Solutions, Marketing, and senior commercial leaders to support specific campaigns, key account strategies, and broader go-to-market initiatives.
  • Build and maintain high-quality account and contact data by sourcing contacts via LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and other tools, and ensuring accurate, well-structured records in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Life Sciences Principals to research key accounts, identify opportunities, and support strategic account planning led outreach through targeted insights.
  • Track outreach performance, pipeline contribution, and KPIs, using data to continuously refine targeting and messaging.
  • Contribute to sales operations and tooling excellence, helping maintain Salesforce hygiene and supporting effective use of tools such as HubSpot Sales Hub, ZoomInfo, and others.
  • Ensure PicnicHealth succeeds at conferences and industry events supporting pipeline growth and relationship building.

  • The base salary PicnicHealth offers may vary depending upon the scope, complexity, and autonomy of the position and on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • This is a role that is also eligible for variable compensation.

  • We support in-person gatherings, including co-working spaces and multi-day onsites, to build connections and move forward strategic initiatives.
  • Expect to travel 2-4 times a year.
