Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in agriculture (or a related field) from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with equipment operation and general farming practices
  • Desire to build a career in the agricultural industry
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., work in outdoor production agriculture environments, and work extensively on a computer
  • Ability to frequently travel overnight and work in a large-group training environment
  • Fantastic communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
  • High computer proficiency
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills and a structured approach to planning
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, and goal-oriented spirit
  • Willingness to learn from multiple sources
  • Willingness to be available for customers 24/7 during peak season

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to appraise used equipment and establish book values from the Remarketing Group
  • Shadow experienced sales reps to learn the ins and outs of customer service, appraisals, demonstrations, and quotes
  • Help deliver new and used equipment
  • Assist with advertising and marketing by uploading photos, videos, and product descriptions into MachineFinder
  • Inform potential customers about product incentives and John Deere financial options to help initiate sales
  • Learn all about ISG products, JDLink, Harvest Mobile, AutoTrac, and other industry software
  • Learn how to analyze data and use this information to help customers improve their operations
  • Learn industry trends and John Deere products
  • Help with equipment demonstrations, customer training, retail equipment displays, and additional responsibilities as assigned
