About The Position

WDC Kitchen & Bath Center is Southern California’s premier retailer and builder distributor of home appliances and plumbing fixtures. For over 40 years, we have proudly served homeowners, contractors, designers, and builders with exceptional products, expert guidance, and world-class customer service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Consultant to join our team and contribute to our continued success. We are a luxury retailer of home appliances, outdoor kitchens, plumping fixtures, and mattresses. Sales Consultants are responsible for prospecting new business, upselling and cross-selling within our extensive product base, and delivering results to meet and exceed a pre-set quota. This pivotal role’s success is indirectly supported by our corporate and showroom teams to help with order management, delivery, and after delivery customer care. Our ideal candidate will have great time management skills, be organized, will provide a world class experience to our clients and most importantly, will always have a positive attitude. The construction industry moves fast, so we are eager to find a candidate that thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment and is eager to achieve and surpass the goals that are given to them.

Requirements

  • At least two years working in a Selling vs Quota environment preferred
  • One year of customer service or customer facing environments preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office required
  • Good organizational skills required
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, and demonstrate active listening skills
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays required
  • Minimum High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 days a week – This is a full time, in-person position
  • Typically, 9:30am – 6:00pm
  • Evenings as needed for special events
  • Working Environment & Conditions: General showroom setting, frequently sitting while using computer and phone.
  • Required to wear comfortable and business professional attire.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with industry professionals, cultivate relationships for repeat business and develop a self-sustaining network of clients.
  • Provide the best-in-class customer service.
  • Build proposals and quotes reflecting the needs of the customer.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, email, or in person always within the same day.
  • Attend on-going training to stay current on products within our luxury appliances, outdoor kitchens, plumping fixtures, and mattress offerings.
  • Capture meaningful customer data according in the Company tools, for the purposes of connecting with the customer, building relationships and personalizing future client development opportunities.
  • Achieving monthly sales goals.
  • Work as a team player and partner with fellow team members to create a positive, caring, respectful and cohesive work environment, also sharing knowledge and support.
  • Participate in regular shifts to cover store opening hours, including weekends and holidays when store is open.
  • Cooperate in all store activities, as needed, including opening and closing procedures and occasional after-hours events.
