Experience & Design Expertise Proven professional experience in residential interior design , specifically focused on kitchens and bathrooms Strong understanding of cabinetry layouts, space planning, plumbing fixtures, lighting design, hardware specification, and finish selections Ability to create unified, functional, and aesthetically elevated designs tailored to each client’s lifestyle and budget Demonstrated success working in a showroom, design studio, or luxury client-facing retail environment Experience presenting design concepts, reviewing plans, and guiding clients through selections from start to finish Technical Skills Proficiency in design and drafting software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Chief Architect, 2020, or similar tools Ability to produce technical drawings, layouts, mood boards, and curated product boards that support the design story Strong knowledge of premium decorative plumbing, lighting, and hardware brands Comfortable interpreting architectural plans, measurements, and contractor specifications Tech-savvy with the ability to learn showroom tools and CRM systems (HubSpot, SpecsBuilder, etc.) Sales & Client Service Skills Strong consultative selling abilities — able to identify client needs, present tailored solutions, and convert interest into completed projects Experience managing the full sales process: quoting, invoicing, product selections, order coordination, and follow-up Able to build long-term relationships with homeowners, designers, contractors, and industry partners Skilled at turning walk-in shoppers into loyal clients through exceptional service and expert product guidance Comfortable working with both high-end clientele and technical trade partners Communication & Collaboration Excellent verbal and visual presentation skills when communicating ideas, materials, and design concepts Strong written communication for proposals, product specifications, and client documentation Collaborative mindset — able to partner effectively with contractors, project managers, vendors, and showroom teammates Ability to listen deeply, ask clarifying questions, and guide clients confidently through complex decisions Personal Attributes Passionate about luxury design, craftsmanship, and transforming client spaces High attention to detail with the ability to balance creativity with technical accuracy Adaptable and proactive — able to shift between design work, showroom support, and customer consultations seamlessly Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, initiative, and a “team-first” attitude Confidence paired with humility — open to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement Strong organizational habits with the ability to manage multiple clients, design projects, and timelines at once Additional Requirements Portfolio showcasing kitchen and bath design projects (required for consideration) Ability to work standard showroom hours, with occasional flexibility for events or vendor trainings Ability to lift or move sample boards, displays, or product materials (typically 10–30 lbs.)
