The Impact You Will Have: The Sales Commissions Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely commission calculations and payments for our sales team. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of sales compensation plans and processes. You will be responsible for administering the Xactly Incent commission system, performing manual adjustments in Excel, analyzing sales performance data, and providing valuable insights to leadership. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Excel including: pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, etc.
  • Two or more years of experience with compensation and/or sales commissions.
  • Proficiency in organizing, summarizing, and analyzing large data sets.
  • Ability to create elegant, efficient, and effective compensation and financial models, budgets, reports, and presentations.
  • Experience administering sales commission plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex data sets and efficiently summarize.
  • Thrives working in a team environment of a high-growth, rapid-paced organization.
  • Strong, effective, and tactful communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.

  • Knowledge Skill and Abilities:

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales, Sales Ops and Payroll teams to communicate and process monthly commission payments accurately and on time.
  • Support leader of commissions team in administration of existing compensation plans.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations, Sales Leaders, and Business Partners to understand Sales new hire offers including: assigned commission plans, recoverable draws, quotas, and commission rates.
  • Administer the Xactly Incent commission system, ensuring accurate monthly recurring file creation, order processing, and payroll file preparation.
  • Execute complex manual commission calculations and adjustments in Excel, maintaining detailed records and utilizing advanced formulas.
  • Track and analyze commission-based earnings and sales performance data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Review and interpret sales contracts and external partner agreements to ensure accurate commission calculations and compliance with compensation plans.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to sales team inquiries regarding commission calculations and payment details.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Sales Leaders, and Business Partners to accurately implement new hire offers, including commission plans, recoverable draws, and quotas.
  • Maintain and update Excel models to track sales organization structure, quotas, commission rates, and cost of commission plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive reporting packages summarizing sales commission data for executive leadership, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Maintain the sales organizational hierarchy within the commission system, reflecting all changes related to hires, terminations, and compensation plan adjustments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commission processes, automate manual tasks, and implement best practices for data management and reporting.
