About The Position

The e-Commerce Sales Associate at AutoNation interacts with hundreds of customers – online, over the phone, and in person – to guide their vehicle purchase in a no-haggle sales environment. Key responsibilities include responding to leads promptly, answering questions, providing information, and effectively transitioning customers from phone and internet contact to an in-store experience, all while delivering exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in redefining the car-buying experience, requiring driven, customer-focused professionals. Associates help customers select their ideal vehicle, negotiate terms to align payment options with lifestyles and budgets, and finalize sales. Post-purchase, they ensure customer satisfaction through follow-ups and facilitate transitions to the Service department for ongoing ownership support. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Drive to set and achieve targeted goals
  • Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • The willingness to follow up with customers
  • Experience and desire to work with technology
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience, retail preferred

Responsibilities

  • Help transition customers to the Service department to support their ownership experience
