About The Position

Molded Dimensions Group is a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered rubber, urethane, and plastic components serving industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial manufacturing. We are currently looking for an ambitious Sales Associate that will play a key role in driving revenue growth and strengthening customer relationships across the Minnesota and Iowa region. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys connecting technical solutions with customer needs. With travel up to 50% of the time with occasional visits to company’s headquarters in Port Washington, Wisconsin, this position serves as a strategic liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring exceptional service, timely delivery, and value-driven solutions. Through proactive relationship-building, CRM pipeline management, and regional outreach, the Sales Associate strengthens market presence, supports operational excellence, and contributes to the company’s long-term success. Experience in the rubber and plastics industry a plus!

Requirements

  • 0-3+ years experience in a technical sales role.
  • Technical Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and to communicate well with customers and manufacturing personnel.
  • CRM experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and developing/presenting Power Point collateral as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in rubber and plastics industry, a definite plus!
  • Experience in business to business selling to OEMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the capture of new customers, tools, and programs to drive revenue and strengthen Molded Dimensions market presence in Illinois and surrounding area.
  • Begin managing smaller or legacy accounts in region. Assist in prospecting and growing new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing regional accounts and prospective clients.
  • Own assigned regional accounts and meet new business development targets.
  • Maintain a robust CRM pipeline; actively track and report on sales opportunities.
  • Exercise limited pricing autonomy within established company guidelines.
  • Understand customer applications and articulate NMDG’s competitive advantages.
  • Prospect new business solutions and convert small opportunities into revenue.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and performance excellence.
  • Drive sales activity through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and client visits.
  • Monitor quote-to-order conversion rates and contribute to new account acquisition.
  • Regional travel (25-50%) to meet customers and attend trade shows.
  • Share insights and contribute to best practices; participate in mentorship opportunities.
