The Sales Assistant supports the WOIO/WUAB Sales team by providing administrative, order-entry, traffic coordination, and client-support services to help ensure accurate campaign execution across linear and digital platforms.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 1+ year of administrative support experience
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn traffic/CRM systems quickly
  • Clear written/verbal communication and strong customer-service mindset

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework/degree preferred
  • Broadcast/media sales support preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain orders, revisions, and makegoods in the station order/traffic system; ensure accuracy of rates, flight dates, inventory, and copy instructions.
  • Build and distribute sales materials (avails, proposals, pacing/recap reports, presentations) and assist Account Executives with client correspondence.
  • Coordinate with Traffic, Billing, Production/Creative Services, Digital, and Promotions to confirm deadlines, specs, and spot delivery.
  • Monitor campaign fulfillment and assist with stewardship: spot times, pre-empts, added value, and delivery reporting.
  • Collect and manage creative assets and instructions; track copy/creative status and ensure on-time submission.
  • Support billing functions: reconcile discrepancies, assist with affidavits, credit/rebill requests, and invoice back-up as needed.
  • Maintain client and prospect records (CRM/contact lists), meeting notes, and internal trackers; support team scheduling and logistics.
  • Provide reception/backup coverage and general office support as assigned.
