About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Sales and Business Development Manager. The Sales and Business Development Manager will be responsible for bridging the gap between production, business development, further departments, and the market/customers. This person will be responsible for the initial contact with the customer for each first request and continued business initiation. This is an individual contributor role. This role is based at Wieland's Morgan Bronze facility located in Lake Zurich, IL. While this role is local, occasional travel domestically and internationally will be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or similar. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' Sales experience in Manufacturing markets, preferably Aerospace.
  • Excellent customer relationship and management skills.
  • Excellent communication, people, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet. Ability to use this information to drive EBITDA.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and execute Wieland's safety policies, reinforce Wieland's culture and values to optimize behavioral and performance expectations.
  • Achieve all budgeted targets such as EBITDA, cost, sales, inventory level, and working capital turns.
  • Contact existing and new customers about commercial and technical topics.
  • Create market strategies, forecasts, budgets, market analysis, negotiations, and review of payments to ensure the greatest returns for the company.
  • Provide input to business development for new development and to customers for possibilities and optimizations.
  • Strengthen the network with the customer's design and engineering staff.
  • Provide customer support in the optimization of the current product.
  • Develop a complete understanding of the product's technical capabilities.
  • Develop white papers, demos, configurations, and presentations.
  • Provide support on internal roll-out to customers.
  • Communicate technical properties of applications and product capabilities.
  • Provide superior customer service and develop/retain customer relationships.
  • Coordinate actions between production, business development, and customers regarding products, developments or adjustments in the supply chain.
  • Establish an annual budget to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Effectively negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Review market analyses to determine customers' situations/needs, price levels.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Any additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.
  • Frequent domestic and occasional international travel.
