If you love independent journalism and are looking for the opportunity to leverage your expertise in pursuing sales opportunities, advertising agencies, and direct client relationships at KUT 90.5 FM, this role is for you. Your success will be measured by your ability to source and close new sponsors, increase revenue from existing accounts, maintain an account list, and develop new business through consistent sales activities including customer visits and Zoom calls. You will be responsible for delivering professional, solution-based proposals to clients and prospects, building and maintaining positive relationships with advertising agencies, sponsors, and colleagues, and tracking activity in the CRM. A typical day involves hunting for new business, leading meetings with business leaders and agencies, managing existing accounts, and proposing/selling sponsorship schedules, programs, and events to achieve sales goals. You will act as a media consultant, growing your account list by prospecting new clients and utilizing your familiarity with local market media to position KUT 90.5 FM as a key marketing resource, leveraging their extensive radio and digital products. Collaboration with team members, including a Business Development Specialist, is key for crafting compelling proposals and going to market with best-in-class materials supported by audience analytics to provide proof of performance. Your efforts will fuel independent media in and around the Austin region.
