Position Summary: The Sales Account Manager is responsible for generating profitable sales of vocational dump bodies, tractor upfits, and related upfit solutions by developing strong customer relationships and delivering application-based solutions. This role manages the full sales cycle—from prospecting and specification development to order execution, delivery, and follow-up—while serving commercial truck dealerships, contractors, fleet operators, municipalities, and owner-operators. Success in this role requires a consultative selling approach, strong product knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal production, and sales teams to ensure accurate specifications and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally to customer sites as business needs require.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets and territory.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to drive repeat and referral business.
  • Meet or exceed established sales objectives for unit volume, gross margin, and account growth.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate dump body, chassis, and upfit solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales and delivery process.
  • Conduct onsite visits, and application discussions as required.
  • Provide post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development.
  • Develop accurate equipment specifications and quotations based on customer requirements and regulatory considerations.
  • Write complete and accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process required documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure orders are buildable, compliant, and delivered as promised.
  • Review equipment and warranty information with customers at delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer, opportunity, and order records within the company’s sales tracking or CRM tools.
  • Prepare and submit sales activity and call reports as required.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and manufacturer programs to maintain and expand product knowledge.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company in a courteous and ethical manner at all times.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting the sale and upfitting of vocational truck bodies.
  • Perform additional duties assigned in support of dealership operations.
