About The Position

Hagar Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Safety & Quality Control Foreman to lead the charge in protecting our people and elevating the quality of our work. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape safety culture, ensure compliance, and implement quality control processes that directly impact project success. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience in safety, quality control, administration, or field supervision
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams
  • Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and quality control practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a required drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive company-wide safety program in partnership with our insurance provider
  • Lead regular tailgate safety meetings and maintain thorough documentation
  • Implement systems for reporting and investigating incidents and near misses
  • Conduct routine job site, facility, and equipment inspections, driving corrective actions
  • Maintain and update safety procedures to meet all regulatory standards (OSHA, MSHA, MDEP, MDOT, MDOL, and more)
  • Ensure proper onboarding and safety training for all new hires
  • Support HR with workers’ compensation claims management
  • Recommend safety improvements, including budgeting for initiatives
  • Oversee traffic control operations, including flagging and signage, and step in operationally when needed
  • Perform and oversee material testing (including gradation and sieve analysis)
  • Develop and implement structured quality control processes and documentation
  • Manage lab operations, including equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Conduct job site inspections focused on quality and collaborate with field leaders to improve outcomes
  • Establish standards for proper material placement and project execution
  • Recommend process and equipment improvements to meet industry specifications
