About The Position

As a Safety Foreman you will need to have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and teamwork spirit. Work as an integral member of site management to monitor and strengthen compliance. You will also need to comply with all the relevant regulations, standards, and policies regarding mine safety, health, and environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an underground coal mining industry
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of mining equipment and systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to safety, detail, and quality.
• Ability to work under pressure, in challenging and dynamic environments.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate preferred .
• MSHA Dust certification preferred or obtain at the ne xt testing opportunity.
• MSHA instructor qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent site management while accompanying Federal and/or State inspectors and initiate appropriate actions as warranted and convey the results of the inspection to management.
• Investigate accidents and incidents.
• Interact with the front-line supervisors and hourly team members.
• Strengthen the understanding and adherence to Warrior ’s Safety Policies, federal and state mining laws.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and correct undesired behaviors.
• Accompany Federal or State Inspectors during their inspections.
• Perform site visits and audits.
• Collect Respirable Dust Samples or other health related .
• Conduct t raining .
• Other duties as directed and assigned .
