About The Position

The Safety Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's safety programs, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and industry standards, and promoting a culture of safety across all operations. This is an office-based position where you will be responsible for the development of safety programs across various projects and office environments. This role involves collaboration with various teams to develop, manage, and improve safety initiatives and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain safety training materials, including orientations, e-learning modules, microlearning content, and companywide interactive training sessions.
  • Create and translate project-specific orientations and training materials as required by clients.
  • Develop safety best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other instructional resources to support field safety leads and operational teams.
  • Manage safety-related documents and controlled materials across multiple platforms, including SharePoint, XDrive, Smartsheet, and other digital repositories.
  • Maintain the Safety Management Resources SharePoint site in collaboration with the Safety Program Manager and Safety Lead Administrator.
  • Prepare and manage safety deliverables required for bids, proposals, and contract submissions (e.g., safety narratives, safety plans, safety statistics, questionnaires).
  • Coordinate and provide required safety documentation and deliverables after project award, ensuring consistency with client expectations.
  • Assist project teams in the development, coordination, and delivery of project-specific safety plans, emergency action plans (EAPs), and other safety documentation.
  • Provide resources, guidance, and support to field safety leads and site managers to ensure successful implementation of safety requirements and deliverables.
  • Participate in weekly Active Bids and Project Update meetings, maintaining the QISG Safety Project Tracker and communicating progress to leadership.
  • Track and document subcontractor safety compliance using ISNetworld, Avetta, and other client-required systems.
  • Assist with subcontractor prequalification, ensuring alignment with client, contract, and QISG safety performance requirements.
  • Conduct safety program audits and evaluations to support client and internal qualification processes.
  • Review on-site incidents to identify causes, contributing factors, and preventive measures, working closely with operating units and subcontractors.
  • Compile, analyze, and present safety performance metrics, trends, and corrective actions to management.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen safety processes and reduce risk.
  • Develop, update, and coordinate Emergency Action Plans for office and project locations.
  • Support project teams in understanding emergency procedures, communication expectations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with ISO 45001, client expectations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement new safety initiatives that strengthen organizational safety culture and operational readiness.
  • Support learning-based safety practices, including Human Performance principles and The Capacity Model™.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Program Manager, Safety Lead Administrator, and operations leadership to support organizational safety objectives.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned by the QISG Vice President of Safety and/or QISG Safety Program Development Manager.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to the Safety Program Coordinator
