About The Position

As a Summer Field Intern at Black & Veatch, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients’ goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch. Accountable for implementing and maintaining the company's Safety and Health Procedures, or may assist a Division Safety and Health Manager as needed. Performs routine, non-complex tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • First Aid
  • CPR
  • Safety and Health program administration
  • OSHA 10 hour

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, working towards a related degree.
  • Safety related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform first aid/medical functions
  • Word processing and spreadsheet computer software programs
  • Knowledge of safety and health standards and practices

Responsibilities

  • Conducts employee safety and health training
  • Conducts routine site safety and health inspections
  • Implements project security program and procedures
  • Performs Record keeping / filing functions
  • Enters safety and health data into word processing and spreadsheet type programs
  • Individual contributor with no subordinates
