About The Position

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for an experienced Safety & Facilities Supervisor for our facility in Chicopee, MA. The schedule is Monday - Friday and will include some Saturdays during busy season / as production needs dictate. This is an exempt level position. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, Cenveo provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The Safety & Facilities Supervisor oversees all plant safety programs and ensures the facility operates in a safe, compliant, and well‑maintained condition. This role leads safety initiatives, supports regulatory compliance, manages facility maintenance activities, and partners closely with production leadership to promote a strong safety culture across the envelope manufacturing operation. Availability to respond to facility and/or safety matter outside standard hours.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in safety, facilities, or maintenance supervision (manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety practices.
  • Understanding of and experience with facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with a strong safety mindset.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving hazards or facility issues.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

Nice To Haves

  • Safety certifications (OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes & corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintain safety records and reporting.
  • Oversee building systems, utilities, and general facility maintenance.
  • Manage preventive facility maintenance schedules and service vendors.
  • Support facility repairs, upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Ensure the plant remains clean, organized, and compliant.
  • Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills.
  • Ensure proper functioning of fire protection and emergency systems.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and required permits.
  • Work side-by-side with production, HR, and operational leadership on safety initiatives.
  • Communicate safety expectations and performance metrics.
  • Provide real-time safety input while supporting production with safe and practical ways of working
  • Build safety ownership at all levels.
  • Provide guidance on safe workplace practices.
  • Track safety KPIs and facility maintenance metrics.
  • Comply, administer, and implement all corporate safety department initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage safety and facility budgets.
  • Other duties and assignments as required.
