About The Position

TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support long-term operations in Northeast Louisiana. This role is dedicated exclusively to safety leadership, compliance, and field oversight in crane, rigging, and heavy construction environments. The position promotes a Safety First culture while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, client, and company requirements. This position requires strong communication skills, technical safety expertise, and the ability to maintain customer focus while enforcing TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. and client safety and environmental policies. Candidate will answer directly to the Gulf Coast Safety Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of safety operations experience
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (current within last three years)
  • Competent Person designation
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Expertise in the field of Specialty rigging preferred
  • CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, STS-C Graduate or Chartered IOSH Member
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS or related field
  • Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple daily tasks and work within tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Health and Safety related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Client Safety Team ambassador and promote Client Safety Charter principles.
  • Perform safety duties exclusively and maintain management authority.
  • Conduct safety orientations (as needed), field audits, inspections, and compliance verifications.
  • Review and approve PTPs and JHAs.
  • Verify execution of high-risk activities (LO/TO, confined space, excavations, hot work, etc.).
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and interface with clients and agencies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE programs.
  • Analyze safety metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support training development and delivery to meet regulatory and industry standards
  • Audit equipment setup, rigging practices, and lifting operations.
  • Verify operator, rigger, and signal person credentials.
  • Inspect equipment, vehicles, trailers, and lifting gear.
  • Interpret crane load charts and verify load percentages.
