Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, environmental health & safety, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience or relevant internships, co-ops or academic project work
  • Strong curiosity and motivation - you ask questions and seek to understand the “why”
  • Willingness to pitch in, take feedback and learn new programs
  • Interest in environmental and safety programs within manufacturing
  • Strong communication, organization and follow-through skills
  • Comfortable working onsite in a corporate office with occasional travel (up to ~20-25%)

Responsibilities

  • Support HSE programs across manufacturing plants, labs, farms, and the corporate office.
  • Assist with environmental and safety assessments to identify hazards and compliance gaps.
  • Help manage programs like fertilizer registration, medical monitoring, and safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Support development of HSE procedures, training materials, and corporate initiatives.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with environmental reporting (Tier II, TRI, hazardous waste, air emissions, etc.).
  • Collaborate with plant leaders, HR, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Learn how regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) apply in real manufacturing environments.
