Your Responsibilities
As a Safety Coordinator for John Deere North American Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will...
Assist the Safety Manager in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating health and safety management programs and processes.
Support strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around compliance and injury reduction at a complex warehousing facility.
Conduct periodic inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
Assist in corrective action development and safety education and training for employees.
VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

Requirements

• 1 or more years of experience applying occupational safety governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation.
• 1 or more years of practical application of occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles.
• 1 or more years of executing processes for periodic inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action assurance, safety education and training.
• 1 or more years of experience analyzing appropriate safety and health metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• 1 or more years of experience in the Occupational Safety and Health profession in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of warehousing processes and factory operations.
• Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Experience working with collective bargaining units.
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
