About The Position

As our Safety Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining our culture of safety excellence. Our Safety Coordinator reports to the Safety Manager and is required to have experience in implementing and supporting safety programs across multiple locations and delivering safety training. Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and listen effectively to identify and resolve safety concerns.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage safety programs regionally.
  • Comfort delivering safety training and supporting safety initiatives at multiple facilities.
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Ability to address unsafe behaviors constructively while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for safety and eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in occupational safety, environmental health, or related field preferred.
  • Entry-level experience in safety, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the safety profession.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
  • Requires standing, walking, talking, hearing, and using hands/fingers for extended periods.
  • Exposure to weather, temperature extremes, noise, and industrial materials or equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing safety initiatives across multiple locations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting incident and accident investigations and coordinate solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform monthly safety check-ins and regular audits of equipment, facilities, and processes.
  • Deliver safety training, including toolbox talks, regionally as needed.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ensure PPE vending machines are stocked and order PPE as required.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop and update safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate safety information effectively across all locations.
  • Participate in safety meetings, committees, and initiatives.
  • Assist in developing emergency action plans and conducting safety drills.
  • Support management in fostering a culture of safety and positive reinforcement.
  • Occasionally travel, including overnight stays, to support safety initiatives at other locations.
  • Model safe behaviors, mentor team members, and reinforce best practices across all locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
