Essential Job Functions Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. Designs and implements programs to train managers and employees in safe operating procedures. Conducts and coordinates on-site reviews, audits and safety inspections in multiple locations. Develops and implements accident and injury investigations, and takes the lead in the preparation of material for hearings and insurance investigations should they arise. Coordinates all emergency response procedures. Maintains OSHA logs and prepare and submits reports to agencies. Monitors all current information on regulations and requirements related to safety. Other duties as assigned Other Skills & Abilities Significant knowledge of OSHA standards, compliance legislation and ergonomic standards. Expert/Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and comprehension) Highly motivated and energetic with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and continually changing environment Ability to operate independently and within a team environment Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels Excellent time management and organizational skills Demonstrates initiative and adaptability Physical Requirements Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components Sitting for extended periods of time Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or Environmental Science, Applied or Basic Science or related field degree, required. Safety and Compliance Certification preferred. Minimum 3 or more year’s safety compliance experience. Minimum 2 or more year’s industry experience preferred.
