The Assistant Program Safety Manager II is responsible for collaborating with contractors, LAWA inspection teams, and the Project Management Team to ensure that assigned projects effectively implement safety programs and adhere to contract requirements regarding safety and security. This role involves active engagement with the LAWA ADG Safety platform, conducting Task Hazard Analysis audits, reporting safety observations, and meeting with stakeholders to address safety concerns. The manager will review written Safety Plans, verify field compliance, and assist in ensuring contractors meet documentation requirements such as "toolbox" meetings, new employee orientations, daily safety inspection reports, and accident/incident investigations. The position also involves promoting the proactive and behavior-based ADG Safety Program and contributing to ADG's goals through collaborative efforts.
