Position: Safety & Security Supervisor Department: Facilities Work Location: Arlington, TN, 100% Onsite Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional weekend or alternate shifts as needed

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to understand and follow detailed instructions
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supporting programs, processes, or team initiatives
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint); typing speed of 45 WPM
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Skilled in filing, data entry, document control, telephone systems, faxing, copying, and general office administration
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma and specialized or technical training OR 2 years related experience equivalent to specialized or technical training
  • 2 + years in related experience
  • Certification Forklift Instructor, Certification 1st Aid/CPR/AED, Certification OSHA 10 Hour General Industry, and Hazardous Material Certification
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and implements comprehensive safety training programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident‑free work environment.
  • Develops and delivers training for Helen of Troy employees as well as temporary agency staff.
  • Leads and oversees personnel responsible for establishing , promoting, and maintaining workplace security and property protection programs.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Leads safety committees and oversees all workplace safety initiatives.
  • Conducts facility inspections to identify hazards, recommends corrective actions, and ensures follow‑through on preventive measures.
  • Provides safety signage, barriers, and materials to reduce risk and communicate hazards.
  • Designs, delivers, and manages safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new‑hire and temporary staff orientations.
  • Maintains accurate training records, schedules internal and external presenters, and manages training facilities.
  • Oversees Hazardous Material training, PPE distribution, and Right ‑to‑Know stations and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Maintains and submits OSHA logs (e.g., OSHA 300) and prepares required compliance documentation.
  • Leads investigations into accidents, incidents, and injuries; compiles reports; conducts audits and inspections; and measures safety performance.
  • Coordinates annual OSHCON inspections and ensures preparedness for regulatory reviews.
  • Establishes operational procedures for fire prevention, security, traffic control, and incident investigations.
  • Partners with local law enforcement and fire agencies to support emergency and safety operations.
  • Monitors contractors, vendors, visitors, and loss‑prevention activities within the warehouse.
  • Manages employee access cards, emergency call lists, security contracts, and incident report reviews.
  • Supervises employees in accordance with company policies: hiring, training, scheduling, directing work, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Conducts forklift certification courses—including testing, hands‑on instruction, and performance evaluations.
  • Supports development of new safety training courses and assists management as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
