About The Position

This position involves patrolling all areas of the property, assisting owners/guests with room access, and monitoring various security systems including Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. The officer is responsible for locking property entrances as required and conducting daily physical hazard inspections. In emergency situations, the officer responds to accidents, contacts EMS or administers first aid/CPR, and assists individuals. They are also tasked with notifying appropriate personnel of incidents, defusing disturbances, and calling for outside assistance when necessary. Documentation of all Loss Prevention related incidents through incident reports is crucial. The role includes handling interruptions and complaints, resolving safety hazards, and escorting unwelcome persons from the property. The officer also responds to vehicle accidents/thefts, uses proper code responses for assistance, and completes a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintaining confidentiality of reports and releasing information only to authorized individuals is essential. The role also involves conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and interviewing relevant parties. Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

  • Patrols all areas of the property

  • Notifies appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
  • Defuses owner/guest/associate disturbances
  • Calls for outside assistance if necessary
  • Completes incident reports to document all Loss Prevention related incidents
  • Handles all interruptions and complaints
  • Resolves safety hazard situations
  • Escorts any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation
  • Reports to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts
  • Calls for assistance using proper code responses
  • Completes a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; releases information only to authorized individuals
  • Conducts investigations and gathers evidence

  • Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Completes safety training and certifications
