About The Position

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a senior-level professional experienced in SAFe implementation and Agile program management. The SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) orchestrates ART execution, coaching Scrum Masters and teams, managing dependencies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and facilitating ART ceremonies like Inspect & Adapt, making them a crucial conductor for the "train". CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: Must have at least 5 years of experience with SAFe implementations, in cybersecurity for intelligence systems
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Certifications: SAFe RTE or SPC
  • Travel: Must be available for worldwide assignment based on mission needs at government-specified locations, including CCMD environments.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitation & Execution:
  • Lead and facilitate ART events (PI Planning, System Demos, I&A workshops).
  • Ensure smooth program flow and coordinate activities across teams.
  • Manage the ART's cadence, timelines, and release schedules.
  • Coaching & Mentoring:
  • Serve as a servant leader, coach, and mentor to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and the entire ART.
  • Promote Lean-Agile principles and SAFe practices.
  • Impediment & Risk Management:
  • Identify, track, and escalate impediments and risks that hinder the ART.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and dependency management across teams.
  • Stakeholder & Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between teams, Product Management, Business Owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure high visibility and understanding of critical ART data, metrics, and progress.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive relentless improvement by facilitating workshops and analyzing metrics.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of the improvement backlog.
