This position is located in Springfield, MO Are you an RRT with neonatal/ pediatric critical care experience looking for a leadership role? This is an exciting role that will be responsible for the day to day operations for the transport respiratory therapists as well as their education and clinical work. 40 hour a week position This position will require travel between rural hospitals in Springfield, MO and St. Louis Overview St. Louis Children's Hospital is dedicated to improving the health and lives of children. Role Purpose Plans, directs, and coordinates activities for all respiratory care services provided including overseeing staffing and workloads under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager. Fulfills all requirements and responsibilities of the Supervisor RRT Critical Care Transport, demonstrating a high level of expertise and scientific knowledge including best practices and serves as a resource to others. Acts as a liaison with other departments to facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure patients are provided safe and effective care. Responsible for oversight of the Transport Team RRT's including but not limited to daily operations, education, and acts as a liaison to the Manager. Demonstrates expertise and critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs of the most critical patients. Must have experience providing care in one of the following: NICU/PICU/Pediatric Emergency Room. Travel to St. Louis and Cahokia base required.
