About The Position

The EMT of the Critical Care Transport Team will assist the Critical Care Transport Paramedic in providing specialized care to patients in need of urgent procedures or admission to intensive care centers. The Critical Care Transport EMT will participate in trainings and education needed to maintain their role. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including use of automated external defibrillators in a pre-hospital setting. Constantly assess the patient en-route to the emergency facility and administer additional care as required. Function within the scope of care, as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies. Manage general medical complaints, such as altered mental status, respiratory, cardiac and diabetic complaints. Report verbally and in writing, the observations and emergency medical care of the patient. Restock and replace used linens, blankets, and other supplies. Search for medical identification emblems as a guide to appropriate emergency medical care. We are looking to hire for both full-time and PRN hours. Day shift hours are 7:00am-7:00pm Night shift hours are 7:00pm- 7:00am

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED- Required
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Indiana- Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association- Required
  • Drivers License - Required
  • Operation of a motor vehicle Required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years Working as an EMT in the pre-hospital setting- Preferred
