About The Position

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company is seeking a sharp, curious, and driven self-starter for a ROW Land Agent position in Arizona / New Mexico. This role is an alternative to a mundane office job, requiring tenacious, outgoing, and extroverted individuals. The agent will work under the direction of a Right-of-Way Lead or Supervisor, handling various aspects of right-of-way projects from property identification and valuation to acquisition, permitting, and damage claims. The position involves working under tight deadlines, utilizing analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, and extensive contact with the public in various weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Sharp, curious and driven self-starters
  • Tenacious, outgoing, and extroverted individuals
  • Good communication and listening skills as well as patience
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Knowledge in all aspects of right of way including acquisition, title, permitting, due diligence, public and community outreach
  • Right of Way acquisition experience required
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and may be required to drive a licensed vehicle
  • May be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check
  • 3 years of Right of way experience
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience a plus
  • Negotiations experience preferred
  • Real Estate License preferred
  • Graduate of a college or university (Preferred)
  • Willingness to travel: 75% (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Working directly under the direction of the Right-of-Way Lead or Supervisor.
  • Working under tight deadlines using analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Identifying property ownership and determining property valuations.
  • Obtaining permission from property owners for various types of surveys.
  • Preparing documents necessary for acquisition of property rights.
  • Negotiating acquisition of property rights.
  • Settling damage claims.
  • Acquiring the necessary licensing and permits.
  • Reviewing progress of projects.
  • Construction support liaison responsibilities.
  • Appraisal Negotiation.
  • Relocation Assistance.
