The Room Service Operator performs essential clerical and related duties under the supervision of the Assistant Food Service Director and staff dieticians. This full-time position involves overseeing diet orders for assigned patients of all ages, verifying diet orders, and conferring with dietitians when necessary. The role requires demonstrating age-related competencies in patient interactions, ensuring patients' food preferences are met according to their age and diet, and reviewing menus for compliance. The operator will also provide menu suggestions, document nutrition information, and assist in training new staff. The position requires working a day shift, either 6:30 am-6:30 pm or 7 am-7 pm, and every other weekend.
