Room Service Associate FT
About The Position
The Room Service Associate position is for Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. This role is part-time, working 48 hours biweekly across 1st and 2nd shifts, and involves rotating weekends and holidays. The primary purpose of this role is to professionally and efficiently serve meals to patients, guide them through the meal ordering system, and assist with placing orders while adhering to physician-prescribed diets. The associate is also responsible for assessing patients' ability to use the meal order system, providing basic dietary information, and escalating needs for further education or assessment to the Clinical Dietitian or Nurse. The Room Service Ambassador serves as the main representative of the Food and Nutrition Services Department on patient floors within this Regional, Non-Profit, Community Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Serve meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner
- Instruct patients on the meal ordering system
- Assist patients with placing their meal orders within the limitations of the physician prescribed diet
- Assess patients’ capabilities to utilize the meal order system
- Provide basic information to a patient regarding their physician prescribed diet
- Alert the patient’s Clinical Dietitian and/or Nurse when further education or assessment is needed
