About The Position

Hotel Fouquet's New York is looking for an experienced Room Attendant to support the functions of our Hotel and the needs of our customers. You are a crucial piece in the maintenance of the presentation of the hotel, rooms, and public spaces frequented by guests.

Requirements

Two years of experience as a room attendant preferred
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Able to push, pull and carry up to 30 pounds
Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and kneeling.
Must have availability to work weekdays, weekends & holidays

Responsibilities

Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area
Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
Changing bed linen and making beds
Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
Sweeping and mopping floors.
Vacuuming carpets.
Dusting and polishing furniture.
Emptying trash containers.
Restocking beverages and food items in the minibar.
Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor.
Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied
Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed
Dispose of trash and recyclables
Perform other duties as assigned by managers
