ABOUT HOTEL SAINT VINCENT (STV): Located in a landmark 1861 building in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, Hotel Saint Vincent is a 75-room hotel from Austin-based hospitality group McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality, a hotel started in 2021 by industry veterans Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert. An architectural icon in the Lower Garden District since its conception in the 1860s, the red brick Beaux Arts-era style building was originally founded as The Saint Vincent’s Infant Asylum by Irish immigrant Margaret Haughery, a bakery owner and philanthropist celebrated for her humanitarian services in New Orleans. Keeping much of the original architecture, Hotel Saint Vincent honors the property’s storied past and Margaret’s legacy through a highly considered restoration—incorporating an elegant, modern design that complements the property’s historic character. Hotel Saint Vincent is looking for Room Attendants. Applicants must be available to work weekends and have a passion for housekeeping. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites. Reports maintenance issues to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with standards.

  • Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks.
  • Reports rooms as clean and available.
  • Reports maintenance deficiencies to maintain rooms in compliance with hotel standards.
  • Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from room/suite
  • Check main cart/closet for supplies, stock as needed
  • Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgment
  • Clean balconies
  • Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time).
  • Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions
  • Assist co-workers, as requested
  • Stock and sort supplies
  • Deliver and retrieve items/extra amenities on loan to guests e.g. ironing and ironing boards
  • Ensure the security of guest rooms
  • High quality work in a 4 or 5-star hotel
  • Good practical and technical skills
  • The ability to work quickly and under pressure
  • An awareness of health and safety legislation
  • Physical mobility and stamina required
  • Ability to follow instruction
  • Detail-oriented
  • A professional attitude is required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs (pounds)
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Good communication skills are an asset
