The Roofing Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day execution of residential roofing projects from sold to completion. This role ensures that each job is properly reviewed, materials are accurately ordered and delivered, crews are scheduled appropriately, and issues are resolved quickly in the field. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who understands roofing systems, local building codes, and how to balance installer, sales, and customer needs while keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive new jobs and review contracts to confirm the scope of work, products, and job details are accurate.
  • Determine material needs based on job size, complexity, pitch, and scope
  • Place material orders and coordinate delivery timing with material suppliers/distributors.
  • Schedule roofing installs and coordinate with installers and gutter subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date production calendar that can be reliably referenced by internal teams.
  • Track job complexity and assign appropriate crews to ensure workmanship, safety, and efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for installers during active projects.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during installation and provide clear direction on how to proceed.
  • Respond to incoming customer calls related to materials, installation, service questions, and project updates.
  • Serve as a source of questions from Sales Representatives and installers to keep expectations aligned.
  • Maintain a calm, professional aapproach when working with homeowners.
  • Schedule service repairs by coordinating with homeowners and subcontractors.
  • Track service items through completion and ensure timely follow-up and documentation
  • Create customer invoices and supporting documentation needed for insurance submissions.
  • Maintain job notes and operational details to support accurate billing, change tracking, and future reference.
