About The Position

We are seeking a high-performing, growth-driven Roofing Department Manager to build, scale, and dominate our roofing division. This is not a maintenance role — this is a leadership position for someone who wants to aggressively grow revenue, increase market share, build elite teams, and drive profitability. You will be responsible for transforming the roofing division into a scalable, systemized, high-margin business unit within our restoration & construction company. Requirements

  • 7+ years of roofing experience (restoration experience strongly preferred)
  • 3–5+ years leading production or sales teams
  • Demonstrated success scaling a roofing operation
  • Proven ability to manage departmental P&L
  • Strong knowledge of insurance claims and supplement strategy
  • Experience with CRM and estimating software (Xactimate preferred)
  • High accountability leadership style

Responsibilities

  • Scale the roofing division to achieve aggressive revenue and profit targets while building a high-performance team and operational systems that support long-term growth.
  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the roofing division
  • Drive new revenue through retail, insurance restoration, and commercial opportunities
  • Increase close rates, average job size, and overall production volume
  • Identify new market segments, partnerships, and expansion opportunities
  • Build referral networks with insurance agents, property managers, and trade partners
  • Recruit, train, and retain top-tier estimators, project managers, and field crews
  • Establish a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and measurable targets
  • Hold team members accountable to production, sales, and profitability metrics
  • Develop leadership bench strength within the department
  • Eliminate underperformance quickly and decisively
  • Build repeatable systems and processes that allow the division to scale efficiently
  • Optimize scheduling, procurement, and production workflows
  • Reduce cycle times and increase installation capacity
  • Implement dashboards and KPI tracking for real-time performance management
  • Standardizing estimating, production, and quality control procedures
  • Own the P&L for the roofing division
  • Drive gross margins through cost control, vendor negotiations, and pricing discipline
  • Monitor job costing and prevent margin erosion
  • Maximize change order capture and supplement revenue
  • Ensure clean contract-to-cash processes
  • Improve estimating accuracy and profitability
  • Coach the sales team to increase closing ratios and average contract value
  • Ensure all scopes are tight, complete, and production-ready
  • Strengthening supplement processes in insurance restoration jobs
  • Maintain exceptional workmanship standards
  • Ensure OSHA and safety compliance across all projects
  • Protect and elevate the company’s brand reputation
  • Resolve escalated issues swiftly while preserving margins
