About The Position
A well-established residential roofing contractor in the Sacramento region is seeking an experienced Roofing Field Manager to oversee daily field operations across multiple projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong roofing knowledge who can manage crews, maintain safety standards, and deliver quality work from start to finish.
Requirements
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in residential roofing
- Strong knowledge of composition, tile, TPO, torch-down, and flat roofing systems
- Experience with repair estimating and jobsite problem-solving
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Excel and basic tracking tools
- Valid driver’s license required
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends
Nice To Haves
- Conversational Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Schedule roofing projects and monitor weather conditions to reduce risk and liability
- Supervise multiple job sites, roofing crews, and subcontractors
- Perform pre-job and post-job inspections to ensure quality and scope compliance
- Manage project budgets and evaluate change orders
- Conduct dry rot inspections and identify necessary repairs
- Set up and maintain safe, compliant job sites
- Lead weekly safety meetings and crew training
- Communicate daily with homeowners regarding project status
- Prepare repair estimates and perform repairs as needed
- Coordinate with office staff on material ordering and scheduling
- Review and approve field payroll
