About The Position

Your next hands-on challenge in rail manufacturing Siemens Mobility pairs automation with digitalization to modernize U.S. rail. At our Sacramento facility, you’ll help turn engineered designs into reliable passenger locomotives, coaches, and light rail vehicles. What you will do Build electrical and electro-mechanical subassemblies using production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, sketches, and verbal direction. Assemble carbody systems: roofs, electrical racks and panels, air supply racks, cable harnesses, mounted components, and piping. Cut and route wiring; comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach to terminal points as specified. Connect wires between component leads, connectors, terminals, and contact points; perform high-quality terminations. Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble as needed to meet specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatics safely and effectively. What you bring High school diploma/GED (or equivalent). 1+ year in manufacturing or related fields such as construction, automotive, or electrical service. Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Basic English skills to read work instructions and communicate with the team. Physical demands Frequent walking; reaching; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Climbing stairs, steps, and ladders; working on elevated platforms and overhead. Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 lbs. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
