Your Shift Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. A Day in the Life You clock in as the line hums to life. Stainless and carbon-steel car bodies take shape around you — each one destined to carry thousands safely. As a Quality Inspector I, you’re the last word on fit, finish, and function: Carry out critical, non-routine visual, dimensional, test, and functional inspections across components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials. Set up specialized equipment and interpret data from multiple sources to execute complex inspection procedures . Perform first article inspections on parts and assemblies when needed. Apply established quality checks and document findings with precision. Identify and manage discrepant material , understand part flow, and drive resolution actions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • Foundational knowledge of assembly and production processes.
  • Manufacturing experience; quality assurance exposure preferred.
  • Familiarity with inspection methods/equipment and confidence with complex shop math
  • Fluency reading and using blueprints, specifications, engineering drawings, materials lists, and inspection standards
  • At least 1 year working with or alongside quality functions.
  • Willingness to travel to Sacramento, California for training — an initial trip of at least two weeks, with additional visits as needed.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
