About The Position

As a Mechanical Build Specialist, you’ll turn engineering intent into rolling stock reality. You will assemble mechanical structures and pneumatic piping systems, interpret complex documentation, and set the craftsmanship standard for a world‑class product. How you’ll contribute Translate drawings, BOMs, and work instructions into precise assemblies. Install, route, and secure pneumatic lines and mechanical components to spec. Operate hand and power tools safely; secure certifications for crane, forklift, and fall protection where required. Document your work—labor hours, work orders, and quality records—without fail. Hit quality, schedule, and labor targets with minimal supervision while mentoring peers on best practices. Champion a safety‑first culture by following PPE and shop requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • English reading and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort reading and writing instructions, memos, and technical documents.
  • Foundational mechanical/technical know‑how.
  • Motivation to work independently and collaborate within small teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency with metric measurements.
  • 3–5 years building heavy vehicles or equipment (trucks, military equipment, aircraft, ships, etc.).
  • Ability to read pneumatic piping schematics.
  • Hands‑on experience with stainless‑steel tube cutting, bending, soldering, and related connections.
