About The Position

The Rock Crushing Plant Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the rock crushing plant to ensure safe, efficient, and productive material processing. This role supervises plant personnel, coordinates equipment operation and maintenance, enforces safety and environmental regulations, and ensures production targets and quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in aggregate, mining, or rock crushing operations
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of crushing plant equipment and material flow processes
  • Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or shifts as required by production demands

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily crushing plant operations, including startup, shutdown, and production flow
  • Lead, train, and mentor plant operators, laborers, and maintenance personnel
  • Ensure all safety policies, MSHA/OSHA regulations, and company procedures are followed at all times
  • Monitor plant performance to meet production goals, material specifications, and quality standards
  • Inspect crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment for proper operation and safety
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs; report mechanical issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and safety records
  • Communicate with management regarding production schedules, staffing needs, and operational issues
  • Enforce housekeeping standards to keep the plant clean, organized, and hazard-free
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment problems and optimizing plant efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including dust control and material handling practices
