About The Position

A Robotics and Automation Instructor teaches students how to design, program, operate, and troubleshoot robotic systems and automated industrial equipment. They provide both classroom instruction and hands-on lab training to prepare learners for careers in automation, robotics integration, and advanced manufacturing. This is a full-time, 176-day instructional position with an opportunity for a continuing contract status that is contingent upon Board approval and funding. Teaching assignments may include variable hours at various sites, including days and/or evenings. Teaching assignments may include variable modes of instruction including face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes. There may be opportunity to teach during the summer semester.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in related field or
  • Minimum of 3 years of Industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach robotics programming, automation systems, industrial controls, and safety practices.
  • Provide hands-on training with robots, PLCs, sensors, and automated work cells.
  • Develop and update curriculum to reflect current robotic and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Assess student skills through exams, labs, and project-based learning.
  • Maintain and ensure safe operation of robotics and automation lab equipment.
  • Mentor students and support their career readiness.
  • Collaborate with industry employers to align training with workforce needs
