Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Transportation Roadway Intern to join our teams in Atlanta, GA. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be mentored and trained by technical experts in the field of roadway transportation design. Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together. The role sits within our global business Mobility. Requirements

• Currently seeking Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or another closely related field
• Experience in the collection of traffic and highway field data
• Proficiency in using software platforms such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, and related design and office software

Nice To Haves

• EIT Certification
• Experience using OpenRoads
• Basic understanding of the application of geometric and traffic operations principles including AASHTO, MUTCD, and state DOT requirements/policies

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs and construction plans through the utilization of Open Roads design software.
• Create engineering designs involving geometric design of highways and streets, drainage design (hydrology and hydraulics), and completing construction engineering and inspection tasks.
• Assist with completion of transportation planning reports, roadway safety studies, and various traffic engineering projects.
