About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation/Roadway Engineer for our Atlanta, GA office-- an excellent opportunity to join a top ENR-ranked transportation design firm and take the next step in your career. Our team is in growth mode, and we’re looking for a roadway design engineer ready to serve as our technical lead and assume project management responsibilities. In this position, you’ll collaborate with a talented team and an experienced Georgia Transportation Leader to drive the expansion of our transportation design practice in Georgia, backed by the resources of a national transportation network. You’ll lead impactful projects with municipalities and GDOT while helping shape the future of our practice. Requirements

  • BS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
  • 4-8 years of progressive experience in the design of highways and roads, preferably in Georgia.
  • GA PE license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MicroStation or ORD.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GDOT projects preferred.
  • Task management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Task management of Transportation design projects.
  • Supervision of support staff and document production.
  • Monitoring budgets and schedules.
  • Assisting with and collaboration with team members on the marketing of new projects.
  • Interfacing with clients.
