About The Position

Join AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta as a Roadway Design Engineer II, where you will play a key role in delivering impactful roadway projects that enhance safety, mobility, and connectivity throughout Georgia. This position involves contributing to the development of roadway designs through engineering analysis, modeling, and detailed plan production. You will collaborate closely with Lead Engineers and Project Managers on a diverse portfolio of transportation projects, gaining exposure to complex challenges and innovative solutions. The role offers a hybrid work option, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline
2 years of related roadway project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Nice To Haves

Georgia PE License (or ability to obtain)
5 years of experience designing roadway projects
Experience designing Georgia roadway projects

Responsibilities

Produce roadway design calculations, models, plan sheets, quantities, and cost estimates
Perform self-checks and resolve comments to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables
Support Lead Engineers with technical analyses and design development
Apply GDOT standards and requirements to assigned tasks
Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery
Track individual task assignments, schedule, and level of effort
Proactively identify and communicate technical issues or risks
