About The Position

The surgery RN will be responsible for patient care pre-operatively, inter-operatively, and post-operatively.

Requirements

• 2-Year College Degree
• Current IN RN license
• ACLS or certification within 12 months
• PALS or certification within 12 months
• BLS
• Conscious sedation or certification within 12 months
• Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call schedule
• 18+

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and gathers clinical history
• Internal and external departmental collaboration of patient care
• Obtains IV access on pediatric and adult patients
• Provides pre/intra/post-operative education
• Enters patient data into EMR (CPSI)
• Circulates for a variety of specialty cases
• Ensures patient safety during operative procedures
• Maintains sterility of duration of care
• Facilitates patient recovery and proper follow-up care
• Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Abides by HIPAA guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
