Including, but not limited to: Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data. Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care: 1. identifies patient/caregiver teaching needs 2. identifies patient safety issues 3. Identifies patient comfort / pain issues Performs the priority procedures for the assigned patients or areas safely - without causing harm legally - within the scope of practice and SMMC policy and in a manner perceived as satisfying by the patient and family. Identifies actual and potentially unsafe care practices, initiates actions as appropriate to prevent or correct and reports in a timely manner. Documents in accordance with SMMC policy and procedure in a timely manner the following information: 1. initial and subsequent assessment and data including a cardiac assessment 2. interventions 3. patient response and outcome 4. unusual occurrences

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurseor a current interim permit in the State ofCalifornia, upon hire
  • Minimum of three years recent experiencein Circulator Role in OR or minimum 3years in an OR for a designated TraumaCenter., upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire
