RN Observation Unit Weekend Nights
About The Position
Seeking Registered Nurse WOW! Baptist Health Floyd, Emergency Department Observation Unit. This is a Part-time (24 Hours Weekly) position, working Nights (7pm-7am) with Weekend Only Work (WOW). The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department and observes patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses in this unit care for a variety of patients including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week to provide support and high-level care. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Responsibilities
- Be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
