RN Observation Unit Weekend Nights
About The Position
Seeking Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Observation Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position, working 24 hours weekly on nights (7pm-7am) with Weekend Only Work (WOW). The role is benefit eligible and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants. In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department and observes patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses in this unit care for a variety of patients including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week to provide support and high-level care.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license required
- BLS for healthcare provider required
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
