About The Position
Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Medical-Surgical-Telemetry, the Clinical Manager is a management position responsible for the management and quality of nursing personnel. In addition to providing high quality patient care, he/she is able to provide technical, educational, and administrative support to the Director and unit personnel. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of systems for evaluation of clinical competency of the nursing staff, helping to develop and update standards and policies, consultation of the nursing staff for complex nursing issues. It includes providing pertinent continuing education for existing staff, mentoring of new staff, and Performance Improvement Activities.
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- AHA BLS Certification
- One (1) year in charge/administrative position.
- Three (3) years’ experience in nursing with clinical knowledge of assigned area.
- BSN
- ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- ANA Medical Surgical Certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia course completion or equivalent.
