About The Position
HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is a 392-bed acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center serving Hudson, FL, and surrounding communities. The hospital is home to a nationally recognized Heart Institute , Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and programs in Cancer Care, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery . The ICU RN role provides care for critically ill patients , including medical, surgical, cardiac, and trauma cases, while supporting patient and family education and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Florida RN license or appropriate compact license (FL license required within 60 days if compact)
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience (MICU/SICU/CSU considered)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
- NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for critically ill patients
- Administer medications per physician orders and monitor patient responses
- Maintain and review patient records, including tests and examination results
- Instruct patients and families on medications, treatments, and care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
