About The Position

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is a 222-bed facility serving West Marion County since 2002. The hospital offers a full-service emergency department , the only inpatient Orthopedic Joint Care Center in the county, and a wide range of medical services including surgical treatments, radiology, oncology, wound care, and outpatient services. The ER RN provides dynamic, patient-focused care for all ages, managing minor injuries to critically ill patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• 1+ year of recent ER Acute Care RN experience (within the last 23 years)
• Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (compact license holders: 60 days to obtain FL license)
• Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma
• Certifications: BLS within 30 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• PALS within 90 days of hire
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages
• Develop individualized care plans and strategies
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously with prioritization
• Provide follow-up care instructions and referrals
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and hospital departments
• Maintain safety awareness and patient-centered care at all times
